Back on the Road continues to attract attention from the recovery community in Glasgow, working in partnership.

Back on the Road has also become a meeting space for organisations, where we hold networking and community group events. If you are working for an organisation and would like to collaborate, please get in touch.

East End Community Networking

Here's images from the East End Community Networking Event held in collaboration with Thriving Places and Back on the Road, September 20th 2022. The theme of the event was identity and recovery, looking into ways we can better understand collective action, support networks and helping the community be better connected. Key speakers included Glasgow Life, Glasgow Tool Library and Scottish Mental Health Association (SAMH).

I would like to thank you for the tour and information today. I found it very interesting and I felt very nostalgic, taking me back to my childhood and seeing the transport that were on the roads when I was young. I think that the work you all do is fantastic in restoring and preserving the history of transport.

Back on the Road are fantastic partners. We hosted our Elevate networking event with them – I would highly recommend using their space to host any community event. The attendees also got a tour around Back on the Road to see the vintage vehicles and learn more about their brilliant project. Rose and all the team are great to work with and we look forward to continuing this work in the future.
