BotR welcomed and hosted Elena Whitham, MSP, Minister for Drug and Alcohol Policy in the Scottish Government on 22nd August 2023 of the announcement of the latest Scottish drug death statistics. BotR was pleased to be able to show the Minister the programme and introduce her to current and past participants and allow them to tell her their experience first hand. BotR’s graduate Craig Campbell shared his recovery story to the Minister and the press and had a showcase on bus restoration.

BotR also appreciates a large press pack of media outlets from across the UK including the BBC, ITN, Channel 5, Sky News and LBC as well as a number of other radio stations and newspapers to raise the awareness of drug and alcohol misuse in Scotland.
