Back on the Road Christmas Party 2025

BotR held its Christmas Party on 18th December 2025. The event drew 26 attendees, including members from the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust, staff from other organisations, participants, graduates, and their families. During the party, Dr Alistair Ramsay MBE (Founder of BotR) presented Volunteer Appreciation Certificates to eight.

Bedford J2

Bedford J2 was built in 1972, arrived in Drambuie, Edinburgh, working as a staff shuttle bus to factories. The second owner of the Bedford J2 was Ian Glass in Haddington, with preservation for 20 years. The Bedford J2’s ownership was changed, and it arrived at the Bridgeton Bus Garage in 2016 as a permanent resident.…

People Make Recovery event

BotR participated in the Glasgow City ADP “People Make Recovery” event on 20th September 2025 in Glasgow Green. BotR hosted an information stall and brought a bus to the venue to promote the programme. BotR had a meeting with Glasgow East MP John Grady on 18th September 2025 in the garage. In the meeting, drug and alcohol consumption issues in Glasgow were discussed. Moulsdale Foundation Open Day day out

With the generosity from the Moulsdale Foundation, BotR received free tickets for their open day. GVVT assisted the event and brought 2 vintage buses to the event for exhibitions. 2 BotR graduates volunteered with GVVT to keep the public safe getting on buses.
